one available yet.
This model forms up your Quoting Software and Invoicing Software system neat and

In this document we demonstrate how
to setup a sample Quoting Software and invoicing software system
on the VMware Workstation virtual environment with Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard
edition with all updates and security fixes
from Microsoft applied, ACT! Premium (Web) 2011 version 13.0.401.0 with hot fix
2, and Windows 7 Professional edition with all updates
and security fixes from Microsoft applied to be used as APFW client running QwikQuote
6.5.005.
The process herein this document is similar to installing other versions of ACT!
APFW editions.
This feature and functionality supported
for ACT! APFW 2011 of the Quoting Software and invoicing software in this document
is implemented
within QwikQuote version 6.5.005 and later releases available on the QwikQuote
web site Download page
and Archives page.
The installation package of QwikQuote Links to APFW on the APFW Web Server host
computer
is on a separated ZIP file called as QQ6LinksACT_WEB_Setup_2011.zip.
Please contact QwikQuote Sales or
QwikQuote Support for availability of this installation package.
Those steps to install, configure,
and run QwikQuote Links Module to ACT APFW 2011
to develop and materialize your sales Quoting Software system are demonstration
and for example only.
You can use other similar steps you prefer to get the same goal for installing APFW
on the VPC Server
and configuration with QwikQuote Links Module to create your own Quoting Software
and invoicing software environment.
Basically the following steps are
encompassed to setup a full functional Quoting Software and Invoicing Software system
that has all features, behaviors and functionalities to do sales quotes in real
home and small business atmospheres.
1. Install ACT APFW 2011 on your APFW Server.
2. Run ACT! APFW in Built-in Administrator Rights Role to do Web Site Administration Tasks
3. Install and Run QwikQuote on the APFW Host Server
4. Install Quoting Software Links Module to ACT! APFW 2011 on the APFW Host Server
5. Configure QwikQuote Links to APFW on the APFW Host Server
6. Quoting Software Links Module to ACT!

Follow detailed instructions from
ACT APFW documents to install and run ACT APFW 2011 on your APFW Server.
Configure and register it correctly according to your sales Quoting Software prerequisite
and conditions
so that you can logon and run your version of ACT APFW precisely and perfectly satisfactorily
on your APFW Server.
In this sample, we use free trial 30 day grace period of ACT! Premium (Web)
2011 version 13.0.401.0. Hot Fix 2.
And we use the demo contact database ACT2011Demo.PAD
in this sample.
The host serve of APFW is Windows Server 2008 R2 with all Windows security and updates
applied.
During the installation progression when asking to add the Windows features of
.NET version 3.5 on the popup dialog
we did it from Windows Program and Features. Turn
Windows features on or off as below:
And when asking if to switch the IIS server form 64 bit configuration to 32 bit
configuration
so that we can continue to install and run ACT APFW on 32 bit IIS Server environment
to test our Quoting Software
we agreed to do that for the purpose of this sample.
(In fact, this Windows Server 2008 R2 is only setup for this test APFW Sales Quoting
Software system)
After all set correctly, you can logon and run ACT APFW with Chris Huffman
on ACT2011Demo contact database
such as screenshot picture demonstrated below:
If you just try to run ACT APFW on
your APFW server and attempt to run AFPW Web Server administration
you will get the following error message informing you that you need built-in Administrator
rights to perform the task.
Such as the screenshot displayed below:
In this case, you need to close the running copy of ACT APFW in this Quoting Software
and use the right-mouse click at the ACT icon
and choose the 'Run as administrator' menu
command
from popup menu
such as the screenshot picture shown below:
When the ACT APFW is trying to start up in Administrator role, for the security
of the computer and your Quoting Software, the UAC (Widows User Access Control)
check will check and ask the onsite UI administrator permission to prove and allow
the ACT APFW application program to run in built-in Administrator rights role. In
windows 32 bit Vista and Windows 7 computers, it will directly show the User Account
Control dialog as screenshot image below. However on the Windows 64 bit computers
with Windows 64 bit OS of Vista 64 bit edition, Windows 7 64 bite edition, Windows
Server 2008 R2 (witch only has 64 available) you will see the collapsed blinking
icon on the Windows Task Bar on the bottom
of the screen.

Note:
This might pose a problem if you had choose to auto hide the Windows Task bar
If you do not seen anything happening after you click at the
'Run as administrator' menu command
you should move you mouse to the bottom of the screen to see the Task Bar and the
twinkling icon as above.
When the User Account Control check asking your approve,
you should agree to run ACT APFW in your Quoting Software by pressing the Yes
button

When run in built-in Administrator rights role, you should be able to run ACT Web
Site Administration
and test and configure web access and set the ACT2010Demo contact database to be
used in Web environment
by following ACT Premium for Web document instructions similar as the screenshot
image shown below:
After that, test you can connect and use ACT by APFW by both on the APFW Host sever
and remote Internet access approach,
such as the screenshot pictures displayed below taken from our virtual Quoting Software
test environment.
This shows that your APFW Server is setup and configured to run properly.
Then you can continue to install QwikQuote on the APFW Server host computer
the same way as you install on any other computer and then install QwikQuote Links
Module to AFPW to form up your sales Quoting Software system.
The procedure for install QwikQuote
on APFW Host Server to construct your Quoting Software and Invoicing Software system
is the same as to install QwikQuote on other confuters. In most of cases, QwikQuote
should download, install, and run properly without any issues if you are following
program popup message that states the might be problem come across and solution
and suggestion to settle the issue down. However, if you have encountered a problem
installing QwikQuote you may download and review the general Download and Install
documents at:

And pay special attention to the document related to your Windows Operating System.
In the sample Quoting Software and Invoicing Software case of this document, after
successfully install and configure QwikQuote,
you should be able to run QwikQuote right on the APFW Host Server.

After successfully installed QwikQuote on APFW Host Server you should first configure
it to run properly in the normal Quoting Software setups integrated with ACT 2011.
The following screenshot image demonstrated that QwikQuote is working properly
on the ACT APFW Host Server not in normal mode (Not using APFW mode) in the Quoting
Software setup.

Sales or QwikQuote Support for installation package file named
QQ6LinksACT_WEB_Setup_2011.zip.
Then try to un-zip it into a folder where you have full Control rights
so that you can un-zip and run the setup executable software program from therein.

Then you can double-click at the Setup.exe to start the installation of QwikQuote
Links Module to APFW 2011.
When asking if you want to allow the setup program to run by UAC,
you should agree to run the setup program by pressing the Yes
button as screenshots shown below:
If the computer does not has the Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0 installed it will
try to download from Microsoft web site and install it on this machine.
When asking whether you accept the terms of the pending license agreement, you should
push down the Accept
button to continue:
Then to download will starts as screenshot presented underneath:
After the download completed, the Windows UAC will ask your permission to run dot
Net framework 4.0 installation executable.

You should chose the Yes button
to continue
and the Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0 installation run as screenshot image below:
After .NET Framework 4.0 completed successfully, the QwikQuote Links to ACT! Web
module install will start
similar as the screenshot shown below:
You should press the Next button
to continue:
On the Installation Address dialog window, you should accesp default values.
And you should press the Next button
to continue:
On the Confirm Installation window,
you should press the Next button
to continue.

The actual installation will take lest than 1 minute.
And then the Installation Complete window will show up as the screenshot image shown

And you push down the Close button
to fullfill the installation of QwikQuote Links Module to APFW 2011 in this sample

Note: Basically, the configuration
QwikQuote Links Module to APFW 2011 on the APFW Host Server is exactly the same
for you to do this on any other computers to run QwikQuote in the Quoting Software
and Invoicing Software system.

f. In the logon information section, enter the logon information
for the ACT2011Demo Contact Database default user the famous
Chris Huffman
g. In the ACT! Contact Database Location
section
choosing the ACT! Web Sever as
h. In the ACT Web Site input box, enter the default IP address pointing back
to the APFW Host Server itself as:
i. Mouse click at the Find PAD File button
to 'Get PAD Files from ACT! APFW' Server.
When warming by the internet explorer Enhanced Security
with the following message:
You should add the IP address into the Internet Explorer Security Trusted Sites
List as below:
And when the information prompted for adding ACT! APFW web site to Internet Explorer
Trusted Sites List as below
Try to add is the save as above for the APFW Web site as below:
Http://127.0.0.1/apfw
After logon to the APFW Server and get the published ACT! Contact Databases for
Web uses
you can choose the proper Contact Database PAD file to use.
Such as the screenshot picture shown below:
now press the OK
button to save your settings in the Quoting Software and invoicing software system.
Note:
When see the following message when test or run QwikQuote Links Module to ACT! APFW
you should follow the information in the message to call us at +1.248.238.8101
or email to QwikQuote Sales or
QwikQuote Tech Support for help.
Note:
To keep synchronization between APFW Contact Database and the sales quotes information
in the QwikQuote Quoting Software and invoicing software system, be careful to use
the same
ACT logon credential and contact database PAD file in the Internet Explorer logon
and QwikQuote.
Otherwise, confusion might cause by those 2 applications in your Quoting Software
and invoicing software system
talked to different APFW Contact Databases in case you are using more than one contact
database in IE.
This should not be a problem if you only use 1 ACT APFW Contact database in the
Quoting Software.
Now, your QwikQuote Quoting Software and invoicing software system get ready to

2011 uses Web Services to get contact information from ACT Contact database on the
ACT APFW Server
for sales quotes compilation in the Quoting Software and invoicing software system
and also use web services to feedback sales quotes information
and keep then synchronization with sales quotes changes when changed in the quoting
software and invoicing software. You can understand
this fashion as extended local network where the ACT Contact database is stored
in somewhere local network computer.
In fact, after successfully install and configure the QwikQuote Links Module to
ACT APFW 2011,
the rest of usage within QwikQuote is much the same as for local ACT database.
So there is really no difference from end user’s point of view doing sales quotes

in finding APFW contact.
After you located you contact, press the Select button
will bring the contact information
form ACT contact database on the APFW Server into the current sales quote in QwikQuote.

Then we add a few product/service pieces in to this mockup sales quote and try to
save it.
You can see and witness that the QwikQuote 'Links to ACT! WEB' dialog jumps out
without any ACT application software program running.
You can press the OK button
to feedback and store this test sales quote information into APFW.
Then you can open ACT right on the APFW host server to check and conform that the
Sales Opportunity, Notes History, Activity, as well as document links
