The Reports You Can
Create are Virtually Unlimited!
QWIKQUOTE REPORTER allows you to create a wide variety
of price list and historical quote or invoice reports, and includes
pre-formatted reports in both categories along with extensive
user-definable reports.
How to start making reports
This procedure outlines how easily you can create your own
reports.
Begin creating customized reports - Click on
the "user-defined reports" button, you are asked to open a
report file. In a fresh install, the only option is the "Default
Price Sheet.qpr" or the "Default Quote Sheet.qqr." These samples
get you started, but they are only the beginning! You can also
use this screen to create a rich variety of custom reports.
How to customize the columns - When you open or
create a new user-defined report, enter the columns tab to
define the content of your report. You can create reports with
up to seven columns of data. For quote reports, you can pick
from 36 different data from each of your quotes. You can also
pick "none" to hide that particular column. Each piece of data
has a predefined title for the column, but you can change that
to be anything you want in a particular report. You can also
control the width of a column by changing the number at the
right side of each row, which represent inches. Change the
spacing between the columns at the bottom of the screen.
How to group the data - The "Group Data By"
check box is a powerful feature. Once selected, you can section
your data within 33 different categories of quotation data. For
example, if you use QwikQuote to convert quotes to orders, you
can group by "Document type" and get a report showing all your
quotes in one section, and all your orders in another section.
Selecting "Total Numeric Columns" will show the totals for each
of these sections.
How to list upcoming sales, by different criterion
- QwikQuote Reporter can even generate a list of upcoming sales
opportunities. Group your report by expiration date or predict
date to get a list of quotes separated by the expected date of
closure. Include "probability" to help you decide who to call
next. Include the customers' phone number in the report and
print out a handy call-back list.
How to set filters in your reports - You can
filter all QwikQuote reports in convenient ways. For example,
the previous "call-back" report is most useful if you limit the
data to quotes sent out during the previous month. Set these
filters on the "Search/Sort" tab and save with the report file.
You can create custom reports with different time periods
associated with them. You can also filter by other data fields,
such as customer, company, project and salesperson. A separate
report with each filter built in saves a great deal of time:
choose the report you want to get the data you need immediately!
How to modify existing reports - After
generating a report, you can make changes by clicking the
"Modify" button, which returns you to the customization screen
with the report open in the background. Change the relative
widths of some of the columns, or see the effect of a change in
column title.
